The Impossible 2026 Calendar - made possible
Your year at a glance. A useful tool to get clarity and feel organised.

The clock struck 12, New Year’s rolled in—and bang! We were in 2026.
Another year to balance it all: work, family vacations, kids' activities, industry events, and everything in between. This year, my family seems particularly ambitious - especially when it comes to travel. Everyone has different ideas of where to go and what to do. Somehow, it all needs to fit into 12 months, align with school holidays, overlap with time off work, and not interfere with our other commitments.
I quickly felt overwhelmed. My usual tools couldn't make sense of it all, so I went on a hunt for a calendar that would provide a high-level visual overview without sacrificing the details.
On my quest, I found a lot of nice calendars, but none of them were quite right. Some provided a great high-level visualisation but had no space to add specific details for important dates. Others offered plenty of room for the details but made it impossible to see the big picture.
Eventually, I ended up with two separate calendars. This was no good.
I knew there had to be a way to create one tool that did it all. So, we set out to make The Impossible Calendar possible. It took a lot of plotting, testing, and refining, but we finally got there. It’s not a beautiful piece of art, but it is a thoughtful, functional tool. I’m using it myself, and it’s definitely making my life easier.
Perhaps this is just a “me problem,” but if you’re facing similar scheduling challenges, I want to share my 2026 Calendar template with you.
